My name is Mike Gibson. I have been preparing tax returns for 20 years.  I have a Bachelors degree in business management from Lincoln Memorial University. Many people ask me why I got into the tax business.  Well it was something born out of necessity.  I have always been self employed and found out early in my business career that the IRS would take most of your profits if your didn't know what you were doing.  As we began to learn about income taxes, we realized that we could not only file our own tax returns, but possibly help a few others and make a little money too.  So Gibson's Tax Service was born.  We were the first in our area to offer E-Filing and the service soon took off.  My brother and I soon split off as he went to Morristown, Tennessee to open Morristown Express Tax Service and I continued to own and operate GTS.  Over the past 20 years we have filed thousands of returns and have customers from all over East Tennessee and several states.  We partnered with Drake Software Company in 2006 and have been with them ever since.  Drake is the leading tax software company in the industry and we are confident we can handle anyone's tax needs.  We can do the simplest 1040EZ form to the most complex corporate tax return.  I simply make one promise to my customers.  I promise to treat your tax return as if it were my own.  If I can work as hard for your family as I do my own, I am confident you will be pleased with our service.
